Litoral

Litoral é um termo que designa a faixa de terra junto à costa marítima, e representa uma parcela muito importante do nosso território que importa preservar e defender.
Em termos biofísicos, para além da grande diversidade de estruturas, a orla costeira caracteriza-se por espaços com grande valor conservacionista e paisagístico, apesar dos fortes fatores de pressão urbana e turística.
A linha de costa em Portugal caracteriza-se por ser um sistema costeiro diverso, constituído quer por arribas e praias encaixadas, quer por amplas extensões de costa baixa e arenosa.
